What is Natural Bridal Makeup?
Most brides when asked about their ideal makeup look say "i want something that looks natural". When a natural look is achieved to the brides satisfaction, they then feel empowered to request a stronger look. Often a bride will suggest a natural look to air on the side of caution. A lot of the time, the bride who requested a natural look with then turn up the volume to a medium application or even a strong look. A bride with no experience in makeovers is usually avoiding cake applications or ill matched foundations. If your makeup artist is a professional, even the strongest of makeup can look flawless and beautiful.
Au Naturelle
The word natural relating to the application of makeup is highly subjective. What is natural to you, could be too heavy for others. If you do not want it to be obvious that you have makeup on, then this is a true natural application. This is ideal if you have blemishes, acne or port wine stains and wish to do a cover-up, however after this, you only want neutral colours and nude lipstick. Of course, you can have a natural application and then strong lips or eyes which is always a good combination. Brows are only lightly defined.
Natural but glam.
This usually a light application of full makeup, full light contouring and emphasis on the eyes or lips. Light lashes or end lashes would add the glam to this look. Brows are defined and enhanced.
Glam but I still want to be recognised.
Some brides say this because they don't want any face altering. So a full application of makeup with a light emphasis on the eye and lips. Soft contouring with subtle brow define and enhancement. Lashes that are light to medium would also add glamour to this look, as would end lashes. Colours used are subtle and soft however some shades are contrasting.
